As some of you are aware, seven months ago my husband and I welcomed into the world our beautiful baby boy, Dylan Tremble. I was finally getting to become a mum and to say I was on cloud nine would be an understatement. It?s the hardest work I?ve ever done though definitely the most rewarding (sorry clients I love you too).
Under the haze of the 4 month sleep regression we decided to fly back to Ireland for Christmas, to introduce our gorgeous wee boy to our families.? It was during this time, that had me reflecting on life, family and my career.? Perhaps it was the mulled wine, old age or pure exhaustion, but with the end of my maternity leave looming, something didn?t feel right.
I knew I had to do something but what?
So I resigned.
I resigned from a stable job with no ?job? to go too, something I?ve told hundreds of people to be very cautious of. Though I?ve also consulted with just as many around being true to yourself, being values driven and to back yourself.
So, I took my own advice, sold my car, backed myself and setup Frazer Tremble Executive (FT Executive for short).
Now I can?t take all the credit as I?m only one half of FT Executive, and I wouldn?t have been able to take the plunge into business ownership without my ever-supportive husband and business partner Brendan.
Henry Ford once said:
?Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress and working together is a success.?
Having met in 2011 as colleagues, fast forward to now and we?re married, with a son, dog and a mortgage and have come full circle to join creative forces.
Setting up a business and looking after a baby has been no easy feat and launching in the mists of a global pandemic not exactly ideal. However, I?ve come to the realisation that entrepreneurship and new parents share a common trait: Sleep Deprivation, but more importantly, when shit happens you just have to deal with it.
People are our greatest asset and we all need to rally together for a common cause, now more than ever and it?s because of that I?m excited to bring FT Executive to the market.
We are living in testing and uncertain times, though I know through grit, empathy and staying values aligned, we can weather any storm and come out stronger on the other side.
And just like the 4 Month sleep regression this too shall pass?..
